CRIME AND ROBBERY

Statistics show that people who resist are three times more likely to be injured than people who do not. Your safety and the safety of your fellow Employees and Guests are our highest priority. Cooperate quickly, and give the robber any merchandise or cash he/she wants. After the robber leaves, and you feel it is safe, call the police and don’t hang up until they tell you to do so. Call a Manager or Supervisor as soon as possible. While you’re waiting for the police to arrive, write down as much information as you can about the robber’s description; clothing, features (tattoos, facial hair, scars, etc.), speech, height, weight and anything he/she said. Protect the crime scene and do not touch evidence. Discontinue business at the Pizzeria and do not open until the police have completed their investigation.

SURVEILLANCE

Passariello’s utilizes surveillance cameras to ensure the safety and security of our Pizzerias, Employees and Guests.

FIRE PROTECTION

All Employees must know the specific location and operation of fire protection tools in the Pizzeria. Each Passariello’s is equipped with fire extinguishing systems in the kitchen exhaust hoods, over the stoves, and other cooking equipment. They can be set off immediately by activating the extinguishment system, as per the instructions. Passariello’s also has hand-held “Type K” extinguishers in the kitchen area.

If the fire alarm sounds, assist Guests to the nearest fire exit and out of the building immediately. Inform Guests that the Pizzeria is under “Fire Alarm Status” and it is their responsibility to leave the Pizzeria immediately. When possible record fire incidents into the Daily Log. Make sure to locate the evacuation plan in your restaurant so you’re aware of the meeting spot if an evacuation does occur.

All alternative and modified job assignments will be structured to meet the physical capabilities and therapy needs of the injured Employee.

Returning Employees to work as soon as it is practical after an injury is one of the most effective forms of rehabilitation. Our Return-to-Work policy enables our injured Employees to return to productivity much earlier and is designed to enhance the healing process. The success of our program depends upon the assurance that all Employees understand and adhere to the roles and responsibilities outlined in this policy:

  • Report all work-related illness or injuries immediately to your Manager and fill out an incident report.

  • Seek immediate medical attention when necessary.

  • Report your medical status as soon as possible after receiving medical attention.

  • Notify the treating physician of our Return-to-Work policy.

  • Stay in contact with your Manager.

  • Return to a temporary, modified work assignment if unable to perform normal work duties.

  • Follow prescribed treatment and therapy plan.

  • Immediately notify your Manager if job tasks in any way exacerbate the illness/injury symptoms.
