WORKPLACE VIOLENCE

Ensuring that Passariello’s is a safe place to work is a priority. Workplace violence includes, but is not limited to, threats, physically aggressive or violent behavior, intimidation or attempts to instill fear in others, threats of sabotage, defacing Passariello’s property, or bringing weapons of any kind into Passariello’s premises.


If any Employee or Manager becomes aware of any of the above listed behaviors, that Employee should immediately contact his or her Supervisor.


Any reports of workplace violence will be taken seriously, and will be investigated promptly and thoroughly. Passariello’s will not tolerate retaliation against any Employee who reports workplace violence. If it is determined that a violation of this policy has occurred, Passariello’s will take corrective action up to and including termination of employment.


If the behavior is that of a non-employee, Employees should notify a Manager and the appropriate authorities as the situation presents itself.Passariello’s will take appropriate action to help ensure that such behavior is not repeated.


STANDARDS OF CONDUCT

Discriminating against another Employee or Guest on the basis of that individual’s age, sex, race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected category.

  • Violations of the Anti-Harassment Policy.

  • Any type of felony arrest or conviction.

  • Possessing, using, selling, distribution or being under the influences of illegal drugs, narcotics or alcohol as defined in the Drug and Alcohol Policy at Company functions, on Company property (including the parking lot), when reporting to work or during work hours.

  • Possession of firearms or weapons of any kind at Passariello’s functions or on Passariello’s property, including the parking lot.

  • Engaging in any disorderly or indecent conduct that violates Passariello’s policies and procedures or potentially harms Passariello’s reputation or business interests.

  • Fighting, “rough housing,” “playing,” “horsing around,” or attempting or threatening bodily harm to another Employee or Guest.

  • Interfering with the work of other Employees by soliciting during work hours their participation or membership in organizations or causes, or attempting to sell them products or services during working hours on Passariello’s property, including the Company parking lot.

  • Failure to report for a scheduled shift or leaving before the scheduled time without the permission of the Manager.

  • Failure to report to a mandatory meeting.

  • Use of foul or abusive language.

  • Not entering and exiting the Pizzeria through approved entrances.

  • Failure to comply with the Passariello’s uniform and dress code requirements.

  • Falsifying Passariello’s records, including, but not limited to, Guests’ credit card receipts, pay records, time cards, safety or accidental reports, applications for employment, or other employment records.

  • Falsifying Passariello’s records, including, but not limited to, Guests’ credit card receipts, pay records, time cards, safety or accidental reports, applications for employment, or other employment records.

  • Theft of Guest, Employee or Passariello’s property including any and all items found inside the Pizzeria or on the Pizzeria premises.

  • Theft, dishonesty, or mishandling of Passariello’s funds. Failure to follow cash, Guest check, or credit card processing or checkout procedures.

  • Destruction of Company property or the property of other Employees or Guests.

  • Any type of gambling or betting on Passariello’s property.

  • Any violation(s) of State or Federal Food/Health Codes.

  • Soliciting or commenting on a gratuity from a Guest directly or indirectly through speech or gestures.

  • Failure to consistently perform job responsibilities in a satisfactory manner within the 30 day orientation period.

  • Insubordination – failing to comply with a reasonable request from a Supervisor.

  • Excessive unauthorized tardiness or absences.

  • Ongoing failure to punch “in” or “out” or clocking another Employee “in” or “out” on the Pizzeria timekeeping system or having another Employee clock you either “in” or “out.”

  • Working off the clock or failing to take legally required meals and rest periods.

  • Smoking or eating in unapproved areas or during unauthorized breaks.

  • Unauthorized operation of, or repair on, Pizzeria equipment, machines, tools or other equipment.

  • Improper use of “social media” including but not limited to; posting disparaging remarks about Passariello’s on social media and sending slanderous emails involving Passariello’s or posting blogs without a proper disclaimer.

  • Honoring requests for food, free meals or services without expressed authorization from management.
