NEPOTISM POLICY
Passariello’s prohibits its General Managers from hiring family members to work in any position at a Pizzeria where the General Manager has management responsibility. Passariello’s also prohibits its Pizzeria Managers from supervising a family member who is employed in a non-management position at the same Pizzeria.
For purposes of this policy, a family member is defined as a spouse (including domestic partner), child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, brother, sister, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law. In the event that a non-management employee becomes a family member to a Pizzeria Manager employed at the same Pizzeria, Passariello’s may take immediate action to comply with this policy. This policy does not prevent family members of a Pizzeria Manager from applying for employment or working at a Passariello’s where the related Manager does not work. This policy also does not prohibit family members working in non-management positions at the same Passariello’s Pizzeria. State laws may limit this policy.
EMPLOYEE DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
The ultimate goal of this policy is to maintain a safe, secure, productive, and drug and alcohol free work environment. Under conditions for employment, all Employees may be subject to random, periodic drug testing at the sole discretion of Passariello’s. In addition, an Employee suspected of drug or alcohol use or impairment in the workplace may be subjected to immediate drug testing of Passariello’s upon reasonable advance notice to the Employee. Lastly, Passariello’s reserves the right to condition an offer of employment upon the submission of the prospective employee to a drug test. Passariello’s will implement reasonable and appropriate measures to minimize the intrusiveness of such testing and shall provide reasonable advance notice of such testing to the Employees. Pursuant to the policies set forth in the Drug and Alcohol policy packet, Employees are hereby advised and put on notice of the consequences of testing positive or refusing to submit to a drug test.
