SAFETY GUIDELINES

Passariello’s is committed to maintaining a safe workplace for our Employees. While performing your job, it is your responsibility to know the necessary preventative safety measures in order to maintain a safe working environment. There are posters on the Employee bulletin boards outlining safety guidelines and you will receive more specific, detailed information and training on safety issues as an ongoing part of your employment. What follows are some basic guidelines and safety rules to always keep in mind.

DELIVERY DRIVER SAFETY

  • Nobody, other than on-the-job staff, are permitted to ride in the delivery vehicle while making deliveries.

  • Notify the Manager if your driving privileges have been revoked, suspended, or restricted. This is absolutely necessary.

  • Notify your Manager if you ever received a ticket or other driving related violation, whether on the job or not.

  • Notify Passariello’s when there is any change in your automobile insurance coverage.

  • Provide a current copy of your driving record from the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

  • Report any automobile related incident that occurs while you are working to your Manager promptly. This is important whether or not the incident results in any injuries, damage to the vehicle, or property damage and regardless of who might be at fault. An incident report needs to be filled out at the your home restaurant.

  • Drivers must detach the Passariello’s sign from the top of their car if they will be driving on a highway at speeds greater than 55 mph.

  • Drivers must return to the Pizzeria and make a cash drop with the cashier every $100 they make past their bank.

  • If the use of the cell phone is absolutely necessary when in your vehicle, park the vehicle in a safe manner before verifying an address, or placing or answering a call from the Pizzeria.

  • Drivers are not allowed to drive while reading a cell phone GPS in their hand.

  • Obey all traffic laws and do not speed. Passariello’s is not liable for any fines or tickets drivers obtain while driving.

  • Seat belts must be worn at all times.

  • Show courtesy to other drivers and pedestrians.

  • Drivers should never stop at a store for Guests or personal needs unless authorized to do so.

  • Do not eat, drink, or text while driving.

  • Never drive after having consumed alcohol or drugs.
