TIME OFF FOR VOTING
Employees who are registered to vote and who do not have adequate time outside working hours to vote, may take time away from work to vote. Employees may take up to two (2) hours to vote. Passariello’s will follow state and local law requirements. To the extent consistent with local requirements, Employees should alert their Manager at least two (2) working days prior to the election, and must justify to management why that time off is necessary.
JURY DUTY
It is considered a leave of absence to serve on jury duty. Employees will be granted a leave of absence, without pay to serve on jury duty, as required by law. Employees will be granted time off for jury duty consistent with state and local requirements. Employees who are asked to serve on a jury should discuss their jury assignment with their Manager, who can provide further information about the proper documentation procedures and local rules regarding jury leave. Passariello’s will comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations related to jury leave.
If an Employee is selected to serve on a jury, he or she must maintain regular contact with his or her General Manager as to the status of the jury service. If an Employee is excused from jury services early and a Manager requests their service, the Employee must return to work. The Employee must also provide written documentation from the Court regarding the length of jury services. The Employee is entitled to keep the jury duty fees paid by the court.
EMPLOYEE MEAL BENEFIT
When Passariello’s Employees work 8 consecutive hours (no split shifts) or more, they will receive a free meal (does not apply to specials, cakes and other selected items – see your manager for Employee Menu) that needs to be consumed in house, no carry out permitted. Employees that work less than 8 hours will receive a 20% discount on their meal. One fountain beverage or coffee are free; all other bottles beverages and espresso drinks are discounted 20%. Employees that work less than 8 hours will not be scheduled a 30 minute break. The meal discount can be used 30 minutes before your shift starts or after your shift is complete.
As an added benefit, when Employees visit their “Home Pizzeria” as a Guest, they will receive 20% off their bill. The 20% discount also applies to Dine-In, Carry Out or Delivery. The site where an Employee works is considered their Employee’s “Home Pizzeria.”
