INMIGRATION LAW COMPLIANCE
As required by law, Employees are required to provide original documents that establish their authorization (within three days of date of hire) but prior to your first date of employment. If the documents are not provided within this three day period, we have no choice, under the law, but to terminate the Employee until the appropriate, legal, documents are provided.
Employees are required to complete the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Form I-9. Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. All U.S. employers must ensure proper completion of Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the U.S. This includes both citizens and noncitizens.
Passariello’s is an equal opportunity employer and will not tolerate discrimination based on race, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. All employment decisions will be made based upon personal qualifications and history, merit, and other nondiscriminatory factors.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER VERIFICATION
Passariello’s will verify the validity of any person’s identification and/or authorization to work in the United States. If there is reason to think that a person does not match the identification, work authorization documentation or the social security number provided during or after the hiring process, Passariello’s may reverify the information. Such re-verification may take place at any point throughout a person’s employment with Passariello’s.
A finding that information or documentation is invalid may result in further investigation and/or termination, as required by federal law. If requested by a third party not affiliated with Passariello’s, employer will only provide last 4 numbers of employee’s Social Security number.
