HAZARD COMMUNICATION

In order to protect Employees from exposure to potentially harmful cleaning chemicals, Passariello’s has developed a hazard communication program. For your own safety:

  • Read the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on cleaning chemicals. Contact your Kitchen Manager or Manager for location of the MSDS Books.

  • Use the prescribed personal protection, such as goggles or gloves, if needed, when using the cleaning chemicals.

  • If you have questions about the safety of or composition of any material you come in contact with during your work, please contact your Manager.

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION INSURANCE AND REPORTING

Passariello’s strives to provide a safe work environment for our Employees. Safety policies and procedures are designed to help Employees focus on preventing injury. Passariello’s provides workers’ compensation benefits at its expense to Employees who are unable to work due to a work related injury or illness, provided all conditions and requirements, as dictated by state laws, for workers’ compensation benefits have been met by the Employee.

If you sustain a work-related injury or illness, advise your direct Manager immediately. The Occupational Safety and Health Act and Workers’ Compensation laws require you to report all on-the -job injuries, no matter how minor, to your direct Manager immediately following any work related injury or illness. An incident report needs to be filled out with the Manager and faxed to the Corporate office within 48 hours. For information concerning state programs, please contact your Manager.
