HYGIENE

The Employee’s appearance reflects not only on the Employee as an individual, but on the quality and image of our Pizzerias. Passariello’s expects Employees to take pride in their personal appearance, and commit to the hygiene and dress standards of Passariello’s. Employees should arrive at the Pizzeria in their full uniform. Employees are not allowed to arrive at the Pizzeria dressed in half of their uniform. If an Employee intends to change into their uniform at the Pizzeria, they must arrive at least 10-15 minutes before their scheduled start time.

YOU MUST BE IN FULL UNIFORM TO CLOCK IN.

If an Employee comes into the Pizzeria on a day-off to retrieve an item from behind the counter or to complete work, they must be dressed in uniform, as they would during a workday.

Hygiene is a critical and protective measure against food borne illness and is expected of all Employees. Frequent hand washing is important in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Hand washing must immediately follow any act that offers a possibility that the hands have picked up contaminants such as after using the restroom, after using a tissue, after smoking, and after breaks. Employees that wear aprons must take off their apron prior to using the restroom. Aprons must be placed behind the counter, and out of Guest view.

Any Employee who comes in contact with food shall keep his or her fingernails trimmed no longer than 1/4” in length, filed and maintained so that the edges and surfaces are clean and smooth. No nail biting during your shift. Food handlers may only wear clear nail polish and are not allowed to wear artificial nails. All Employees’ nail polish must be free of chips.
