KNOWLEDGE AND USE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE

As a courtesy to our Guests, all Employees who interact directly with the public are expected to be able to speak, read and understand the English language. Interactions between Employees in Guest view area must speak in English. Employees shall not shout, or yell directives in volumes that are disturbing to Guests. Employees must speak English when talking to Guests. If a Guest speaks to an Employee in another language, the Employee may respond in that language if he/she is able to do so, or they should locate another Employee or Manager who can help.


CASH HANDLING POLICY

For your own protection, Passariello’s has a few simple procedures surrounding the handling of cash and cash register use. In general:

  • Each cashier must verify the amount in their cash drawer till before ringing sales.

  • Once the cash amount is verified, cashier is responsible for that amount as well as any transactions rung in.

  • Only ring on the drawer assigned to you.

  • Keep your cash drawer closed except when making a transaction and never ring up your own personal sale.

  • All $50 and $100 bills must be checked and verified by the counterfeit pen or machine.

  • Employees are NOT permitted to make change between drawers or open drawers.

  • Employees are not permitted to make change for customers.

  • Do not put customer money into the cash drawer until change is tendered.

  • Business checks and US Traveler’s checks are accepted for the amount of purchase only.

  • Managers are the only personnel authorized to issue a refund.

  • Manager swipe cards need to be kept in manager’s possession at all times.
