PAYCHECKS
For pay purposes, the workweek may differ from Pizzeria to Pizzeria. Unless otherwise required by state law, Employees will be paid every Friday. Employees are paid the Friday following the end of each pay period, which is determined by Passariello’s.
Employees must pick up their own paychecks as Passariello’s will not give paychecks to friends or relatives. Passariello’s will not cash paychecks for Employees, and under no circumstances will Passariello’s make a pay advance or any kind of loan.
LOST PAYCHECKS
Report any lost paychecks to your Manager immediately. If your paycheck becomes lost or destroyed, a new one will be issued on the first pay period after notification, less any related bank fee.
WAGE RATES
Wage rates are confidential and should not be discussed with other employees. Please check your pay carefully. If you believe an error has been made, it is your responsibility to call it to the attention of your Manager.
PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS
Passariello’s must conduct various payroll deductions and statutory burdens that are required by law, such as federal, state, social security, and other taxes that may apply. Employees must authorize any other deductions from their paycheck in writing.
All deductions will be individually listed on a statement attached to the Employee’s paycheck. If you would like an explanation of your deductions or wish to change them in any way, please contact your Manager. Passariello’s complies with all applicable state and federal laws regarding the garnishment and assignment of wages. Wage garnishments, the most common type of garnishment, is the process of deducting money from an Employee’s compensation / paycheck typically as a result of a court order. You will be notified of any court ordered payroll deductions.
TIP REPORTING
Federal tax law requires that all tipped employees must declare 100% of tipped income as taxable income, and that employers withhold taxes on that basis and forward those moneys to the appropriate taxing authorities. This includes direct tips and tip share amounts. Passariello’s complies with all federal, state, and city regulations and deducts the appropriate taxes from employees. We also require that all employees who receive tips and/or tips share declare 100% of the tips received. This is to be done by entering all tips or tip share received into the computer at the end of each shift worked. Failure to do so can result in immediate
termination.
